Hey everyone. I’m so sorry for being inactive. I’m back now, and I wanted to give a long overdue update.

I’ve moved Francis to his new enclosure, and he loves it. I’ve been planning on making this update for a long time, and it’s finally here.

He’s currently in a 50 gallon modified acrylic aquarium from Amazon, but it’s currently unavailable. It’s working well enough, but I’m planning on getting an enclosure specifically for reptiles. I’m working on getting the 36 inch (50 gallon) New Age Pet Ecoflex Mojave Reptile Lounge from Chewy. Like I said, I’m currently using a modified aquarium. While it gets the job done, a reptile specific enclosure would be best. That’s where the New Age Pet enclosure comes in. Its proportions are optimal, it has sliding doors, a built in lock, and more. His cool hide is the Exo Terra Reptile Cave. Its uneven surface and texture creates a natural feel. Francis LOVES it!! You can find it here: https://prf.hn/l/7AX8LMO

His warm hide is also Exo Terra. I don’t remember where I bought it from, but Exo Terra in general is great, and I can’t recommend them enough.

His water dish is a repurposed au gratin dish from a local shop. It’s hard to go wrong with a water dish, as long as your reptile’s needs are met.

His bamboo bars are the Fluker’s Bamboo Bars For Reptiles. They come in a pack of 2 and Francis loves them. They look real, and can be extended and retracted from 10.5” to 15”. They have suction cups on both ends and can be placed almost anywhere. I was skeptical about these, and I’m glad to say they are 100% worth it. You can find them here: https://prf.hn/l/rvaxWXZ

His branches are the Zoo Med Premium Sand Blasted Grapevine Artificial Plant. These are really a hidden gem to me. They’re made from real grapevines, and look and feel so amazing. Francis is in love with these. They look and feel so natural, and are exactly what I needed. I was also very surprised that it came as a pack of three, which is wonderful. For substrate, I use Zoo Med Eco Earth Loose Coconut Fiber. My apartment is rather dry, so a substrate that can hold some water for humidity is a must. It’s still loose and allows him to burrow, which is perfect. I’ve tried aspen in the past, and while it’s definitely good quality, It didn’t fully fit Francis’ needs. Overall, Francis’ enclosure is on the simpler side, but it’s still just right for him. I’m so sorry for my inactivity. I’m trying to be more active, and I hope to see you again soon. Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Updates on Francis' new tank, merch, and other happenings

Hey everyone. I know I've been historically inactive on this blog, but I'm actively working on changing that. I have a few new things going on, and I wanted to let you all know about it.

First, Francis has a new enclosure. I was initially planning on making a video about the new setup, but it ended up not working out. Francis is adjusting well, and I do plan on making a video and blog post about it soon. I'm still making sure he continues to adjust well, and I'll have the video and blog post up in the near future.

I'm also working on a variety of new merch designs. I'm currently working on getting them up, as well as creating more new designs. I have made an instagram account specifically for merch updates, so the main feed is specifically about Francis. The new Instagram account is @/mcsammerch I also have this handle with my other social media handles here on the blog.

Welcome to our (new) blog!!

Hey everyone. Welcome to My Corn Snake and Me: The Adventures of CC and Francis!! My name is CC, and I have a corn snake named Francis. I had a blog on another platform but decided to move it here for personal reasons.

Francis was born on September 18, 2018, and I took him home on February 21, 2019. It's been a bumpy road, but we're getting used to each other, and I'm learning how to take care of him. I love him so much, and I know he loves me on whatever level he can.

We're on social media!! You can find all of our handles in the 'Social Media' tab. We also have a Teespring store where we sell t-shirts and sweatshirts for men, women, and children, as well as tank tops for men and women. Some designs are available as women's leggings as well.

We also have a Red Bubble store, where we sell home decor, stickers, bags, and other accessories. It has the same designs as our Teespring store.

They have a variety of snake and other reptile related designs. We're in the process of adding new designs. You can find the links in the 'Links' tab.
